Gas Separation Technology

Gas separation is a technique used to split up gases, either to separate and purify multiple or single gas components. axiom uses polymer membranes as separation technology and especially in this field, whole fibre membranes with a very resistant and long-term stable aromatic polyimide which is a strong material against high temperatures and compaction caused by CO2, H2S and hydrocarbons under high pressure.

Furthermore, because of high thermal resistance of polyimide, our membrane can be operated up to 100°C. The polyimide membranes are a type of hollow fiber with an asymmetric structure. A dense layer serves to separate gas mixture and is designed to be ultrathin. A microporous layer supports and reinforces the surface dense layer.
